THE LETHAL LISA MCCALL BAND

Lisa McCall born the daughter of a career Airforce father spent most of her adolescent years moving around the United States. This strongly influenced and inspired her to write poetry at a very young age to document her experiences of life and love lost. Given a mandolin by her father and mother at the age of 16 she quickly learned that her poetry could be set to music.  Shortly after that she dusted off an old Hagstrom guitar from a corner closet and the rest as they say will be history. Her musical influence were mostly based in rock but her musical inspirations were purely the sound and emotion of the blues. Moving from Colorado Springs, CO. in 1985, she attended Memphis State University to pursue a Performance Degree in classical guitar, however the blues kept pulling at her heart and guitar strings.

Lisa's influences are rooted in sounds of the Delta legends. With a contemporary twist to Lisa's blues originals and blues standards, she adds her inspiring lyrics and vocal's as well as her ability to set her guitars on fire with her masterful renditions. She has become one of the most promising female lead and slide guitarists in the Mid-South Memphis Area and The Colorado Front Range.
In July of 2001 Lisa McCall and Contrary Motion INC. released an independent CD titled “Memphis Fever”. In March of 2005 released her second independent CD titled “My Friends”. Both CD’s contain Original Contemporary Blues, Rock and Folk Songs. Currently the CD’s have been receiving airplay on WEVL FM90 Memphis, TN, WQOX FM88.5 Memphis, TN, KJLU FM88.9 Jefferson City, MO and KASU Jonesboro, AR.
